Default Phillips MPXL DL35

MPXL DL35...anyone tried/have them? they are rated at 4300-4500k and produce 3600 lumen...that more than the top of the line 85122+ D2S bulbs that produce only 3400 lumen. They are advertised to work with the D2S socket that most OEM HID/retrofit come with

there's also the MPXL DL50 watt bulbs that produces 5300 lumen...talk about output. I know phillips make them, so there must be a car that uses these, can't find any output or comparison pictures online, but if HID gurus would liek to chime, I'd be willing to listen

The DL35 is for serious players only, as each bulb costs $170+

The DL50 is a non automotive bulb that must be run with a 50 watt ballast in order to correctly power the bulb.

PM IvoryGT for more info, as he is running these.

I'm a serious player LOL...are they significantly brighter than 85122+? do you have any comparo pics? 170 price tag does not deter my quest to have the brightest illumination ...5000K+ can die

No, D4S is weak it has never been praised for its output, but its smaller negative footprint on the environment.

I prefer mercury in my bulbs.
