Default LED Conversion

Ok, before I traded in my 99TL I did an interior light conversion to blue LEDs (to match my aftermarket head unit) It all worked out perfectly! Every switch and gauge had the same blue colour, and the interior lights (map, glove, courtesy, overhead, trunk, licence plate, hood) were all white LED.

I want to do this to my SC400... I know that a company does the lights for the gauges, needles, and a/c and stereo, but not for all of the buttons and shifter...

When I did it the LEDs replaced the bulbs in the little plastic bases. Some required soldering on resistors and such, but I then found an online LED store that sells LEDS already attached to the little plastic bases.

My questions...

Has anyone done this mod before?
Does anyone know the size of the stock bulbs and bases?
Is anyone interested in a DIY for this?

Peace.

If you'd looked here in the lighting forum you'd seen plenty of posts about interior lighting and options. Try our search button.

I think some vertrans of the site forget that the search button is not as intuitive and helpful as one may think initially. Once you have been a member of the site for a long time, are familiar with the lingo, and know about specific forums it certainly makes the search button more useful. I, for instance, ran a search in the SC300/400 forums for LED lights, and did not get anything back that discusses what I am proposing. I am an avid search button user (a veteran from the AcuraZine forum) but when I can't find what I'm looking for I feel comfortable posting a new thread. In all fairness I was also offering to create and post a DIY for something that has not been done in this forum.

Thanks

Make sure you're using the advanced search feature and being smart with your keywords. A few examples at least that might address your bulb types/sizes question.

Keywords "sc400 interior" this forum
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...sc400+interior

"SC400 trunk"
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=sc400+trunk
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=sc400+trunk

"SC400 map light"
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...c400+map+light

Yes please on the DIY, that would be great
