SC400 Trunk Lights - Comparison with SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.COM bulb
I picked up some bulbs from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.COM, and thought I would try to show the difference quickly for the trunk alone in the SC400 compared with a standard type 194 wedge-base bulb.
The bulb I ordered was a model WLED-W6 bulb. This is a type 194 wedge-based bulb, and contains six cool white LEDs.

The SC400's trunk could probably really benefit from more than the one standard light fixture. I will say that these 6-LED cluster bulbs really do throw out a lot more light than the standard bulb, so you do get more light coverage; however, there is a limit as to how much spread you can get out of that single bulb. I am almost thinking another fixture embedded somewhere over above the first aid kit would probably help.
There was a streetlight throwing some ambient light into my trunk, but the second (LED) photo lets you clearly see the visible added spread.
