Trunk Light for SC400
I searched the archives for trunk light but didn't see anything about this.
My trunk light seems awfully dim. It's working but just doesn't seem bright enough to light up the whole trunk, it's amost like they needed another light on the left side too. The owners manual says bulb 194 watt 3.8 type E. I have not popped open the cover to see if that is what is there. I just recently acquired my 98 SC400 few weeks ago.
Is everyone's trunk light dim? Can I use a higher watt bulb? Or should I just replace what is there with the facotry size & see if it makes any difference.
Thanks

Not sure what you meant by LED upgrade.
I guess either no Sc'ers are in this forum or this is a non-issue. I posted it in the proper forum so to avoid it being moved from the SC forum. Makes it hard trying to see the CD Changer if I go to load or unload it at night, guess I'll figure something out.

You could switch out the 194 bulb with a 12v 18w M6 polarg bulb (aka 906/921 bulb). Only problem is, you won't be able to put the plastic cover back on since the 906/921 bulb is larger.
