Default LS430 projectors

Aloha everyone...

I just acquired another set of HID headlights for my 2GS, so to get my retro project started, I need some LS430 projectors.
My question is where is the best place to get a set of LS430 Projectors besides ebay? Also what are some comparable projectors with the same output as the 430's & where to get them? Any help would be appreciated.

HIDplanet.com

There are no comparable projectors when it comes to intensity plus width. The only other projectors I would get (unmodified) are the s2000 and TL. Even then, I would take the LS430 in a heartbeat.

I had a feeling I was going to hear that bout the 430's being the best... I'm not that much a fan of the TL's & S2k's. Does HIDplanet normally have them readily available?

You get LS430s once awhile but other than that, ebay is better as far as availability. Whats wrong with the S2k and TLs? they look fine to me.

Mostly because its a more common swap, but seeing them next to a 430's output was a bit striking. They're good dont get me wrong... S2k's cut off is lovely, but well, I think I'm set with the 430's.

If you think s2k and TL swaps are common, then wait until you see what the most common projectors for the LS430 is... yup LS430s

Either way, LS430s are the way to go. If not for the output, then for the fact that the shroud is perfect for our cars.

Very true or you could do some m45 or ls460 projectors they have nice shrouds and so does the mini cooper.

yep, i think S2K would be the second choice if you can't go with LS430. i have LS430 and when i was driving on the freeway last night, i saw an S2K had pretty nice cutoff and very wide beam too. but yeah, nothing can compare to 430. they are godlike. they light up the whole 5 lanes freeway. holyyyy!!!!

Well looks like I'm going to hold out until I find some LS430's I suppose. I just missed a set by about a month...
I haven't heard about M45's but, I'm less concerned about the shroud look than the out put. I'll have my eyes open for a set of 430's.

does anyone know if the LS430 projectors are similar (or perhaps even identical) to the projectors on the SC430?

just curious... i have an extra headlamp from my 2007 ES350... i sorta broke the housing... the part where the bulb fits in.... i was thinking of playing around with the headlamp and doing a wicked retrofit... dual bi-xenon projectors for high and low beams. wire it so they both run on low beam.... and open up on high beam.....

1 is it even possible?
2 what type of projectors should i stuff in it?
3 if not possible... just retrofitting the low beam... will the ls430 projectors fit?
4 what do i need to do this job flawlessly... (never done this before)
5 most importantly... how much will a job like this run me? material wise..

LS430's

SC430's

It's like comparing the Incredible Hulk to Spiderman. Both awesome, it's just one crushes the other in size/width.
