I finally got around to ordering the LED dome light. I went with a 12 LED board. The light output is pure beauty. I will take some pictures as soon as possible.

 

hey did those 194 bulbs you got look the same as you #74 bulbs? or are the a different white? i would like for everything to be the same white.

 

do you know how to change the bulbs for the buttons by the arm rest i tried to open it but couldnt get it to budge. im talking about the heated seats, vsc, and snow button.

 

The #74 match well. The only lights that are not a perfect match are the map light BA9S's. But since those are never on at the same time as all the other lights it is not obvious.

I finally took some pictures with the new Dome light LED board installed. All the original pictures had the map lights on and dome light off- in these pictures the map lights are off.

 

Your dome light looks nice but I have the ccfls in my dome and its brighter and completely white. They have been in my car for over a year now followed JeffTsai's DIY and its pretty easy and cheap.

 

These pictures make them look bluer then they actually are but I'm sure there are whiter options out there. Your setup sounds nice - post a link to your post with pics!

 

i just ordered the same 194 bulbs from the same guy. thanks for all the info. i might try to put 194 in the floor board and over head lights too.

 

Quick question the 194's go in the door lights correct?

 

I read somewhere about someone retrofitting a 197 in place of the #74 bulbs for the floor. Should not be too hard. The map lights and dome lights may be harder but not impossible.

Yes, The front door puddle/marker and rear reading lights are #194 bulbs.

 

well i got them in the other day and i don't know if i am going to stick with these or not. i think i want more of a whiter look. the bulbs were easy to put in and work great just not digging the color. i would call these a cool white. i think i am looking for a warm white. once again thanks for all the info.

After checking this mod out and seeing how inexpensive the CCFL (Cold Cathode Florescent Lights) are I decided I have nothing to lose. I ordered what ended up looking looking like the exact same kit Jeff Tsai used in his awesome write up. Hopefully I can start this mod this week sometime. It looks real easy so I anticipate getting it done soon. Of course pics will follow.
