Question Taillights w/ cracked lens

Hello,

Short-term question: anything I can use to "plug" the cracks to prevent condensation? (super glue?!)

Long term: does the whole housing have to be replaced? Or only the lens?

Thanks!

Lab, I used a certain clear silicone/sealant when I did a GS 300 1st gen lense transplant a couple years ago. Let me check and see what the name is called. I would try something like this first. Its something "fusion" I think. I only used it once which is why my brain's a blur at the moment. We got it from home depot

You would have to get the lamps apart and do it from the inside for a cleaner look.

That would be my short term answer

Long term, usually the tail lamps are sold by themselves and you'd probably have more luck locating a set of these vs a set of rear lenses unless someone here's willing to part with their set.

Not saying its impossible just saying the challenge on locating rear lenses on a scale of 1-10 (10=highest) would be a 8-10 IMO....I'll ask around myself and see if anyone in my circles have sc lenses and are willing to part with them....Lets see what we can find

Hey

I appreciate the help! LMK the product's name when you recall.

I've sorta located a used lens but it will cost almost as much as a "full" unit. So I think it's short term solution for me, for now.

Thanks!
