ok guy i am installing new hids into my headlights and fogs. the problem is that the hids in the fogs dong work. i tested it in the regular headlights and they work but not in the fogs. i tested if the connection for the fogs are bad by using the old hids that was in my headlights in the fogs and they work fine. so why wont the new hids work in my fogs but work in my headlights and the old ones work fine in the fogs? also the difference in the old and new ones is that they are different brand and color so the wiring doesnt match so i cant just change the bulb for the color that i want. please help!!!

 

are you sure you dont have bad ballasts? if both the lights work in the headlights but not in the fogs could be since you said you cant swap it out. another thing is it could be your harness. it could possibly not be hooked up right. if u have the single harness to power up both the fog lights it can be grounding issues or the connection to battery isnt complete. or something like missing a relay. like pictured below. it can be as simple as the connection in the plugs arent complete also. but this all refers to pnp kits.

 

thanx stock sc that wasnt the problem but your help led me to the problem. for manufactures screwed up the clips are on the wrong sides of the plugs so it wasnt working. so i reversed it and now it works hopefully its snug enough not to come out.
