HID headlights
Fellow members.
I've been digging around the net for an HID headlamp solution for my beloved 98 SC400. I found http://www.hid-headlights.com/ and was wondering if they are offering a good product or not at $188. I'm assuming i'd also need another kit for my highbeams as well (I know little of HID).
the OTher site by phillips http://www.autolamps-online.com/index.htm sells a much more expensive kit for about $550. Is there an added benefit to spending tons more cash?
Earlier today I found a thread on HID lights and people were stating that projector lamps like the SC are much better for converting. There is a more defined cutoff for the lights and less messy than the reflector set up.
Is HID appliable to my foglamps as well or is that just over kill?
Since the lights are yellow from age, I'll also need to sand those down, I've heard many stories on it, and I guess the 2000 grit sandpaper and meguires plastic buff is the best route. Now to start baking.

There are many vendors out there for lights. Many people here have gone with xenondepot.com for theirs since they too are a Philips dealer and they are priced a little friendlier than that $550 you mentioned.
Might want to give them a shot.

Are you going to do the plug-n-play hid or going for the retro?
