Default Wedge bulb removal - GS430

So I take my car to the dealership for service. While I was there I asked if they could replace the stock wedge bulbs with a set of PIAA Ion yellow bulbs. They made a huge deal about it and were saying they needed to remove the bumper and take the headlight out to do it. They were asking 200.00 to do it.

Do you really need to do all of that to install these lights? I thought that was a little crazy. It does look tough to fit in there.....anyone have any suggestions?

200 bucks? they can kiss my behind.... it's hard to reach but i think it's plain stupid to say you have to take the headlights out to change that. it took me 15 mins the first time, and 10 at most now

LOL, $200? If people are paying that, I'll do it for $150.

It takes less than 5 minutes for me. Find someone with small hands.

Yeah thats what I thought. I told them that they are crazy if they are taking my bumper off to install a bulb. I will mess with it today to see if I can do it myself. I wish I had small hands.

Don't forget to wear gloves or use a napkin to install the bulbs. Oils from your fingers will cause the bulb to die prematurely. Good luck.

It takes me less than a minute for each side. Just shove your hand in there...its NOT rocket science.

The driver's side is tough if you don't have small hands but definitely not impossible. I'm actually lucky because I'm 6'2" but my hands are small enough to fit in there.

Cuts to your hands are inevitable....part of the hazards of modding.

OR....pay someone $200 to swap out both wedge bulbs.
