Default Jlevi SW Puddle light

Has anyone tried this puddle light by Jlevi SW? Its only 25bucks and I've read that people with Scions are getting good results...I think they even had a group buy (CL group buy??). I know there are kits out there but its over 200bucks.

if I can make it so that the light source isn't showing and can hook it up to my door light (so it'll only turn on when door is open), I think it'll look nice.

If you don't like it, too bad.

is it designed so that the light sources have to be visible? If I can somehow hide them under the rocker panel or somewhere, I'd buy these...

Lol yeah you can hide these, I tried my best but the very tip of these lights are showing, it's no big deal because you cannot actually see the dome of the lamps until they are lit up since they are clear. I'll take that video I promised you tonight because I was lazy last night.

hey I remember these! I asked tcheung about those.

Are they really $25? I thought they were more than that. I might reconsider but I remember I dropped that project because I couldn't find any good mounting places. tcheung, how did you mount them again? was it 3M or screws or both?

I would imagine 3M tape would be too weak if its under the car with all that debris. I looked under my car too, but I can't find a good place to mount them...

what do the mounts look like?

Yeah, the 3M tape scared me a little bit, so I drilled small holes and used screws to hold them in. The last thing I want is a rainy day to peel off my line of puddle lamps and have them dragging/being crushed behind my car.

should be an easy DIY... probably just mounting them on the rocker panels or somewhere and splicing into some power source like the door light.

I think this should be hooked up to your headlights so when it comes on automatically it will turn on too!
