I searched and have been going through what threads I found and it looks like some people have good experiences and others have LEDs burning out rather quickly. Has the quality control gotten better as of late or are people still having burn out problem? Anyone have better sources for longer lasting LEDs? I'd hate to change out all the interior and license plate lights just to change them again after a couple months.

leds are temp sensitive.....you should never have a problem with any interior leds. The only ones I had a problem with were when I replaced my inners by the drls (which makes sense because there is a lot of heat produced in that area). I have them everywhere else though (license, side markers, etc) and have never had a problem...all from superbrightleds btw

there's a disclaimer on the site, saying if you do put them in the headlight area, they may burn out rather quickly due to the heat produced from the headlights.

I hope mine don't blow out...just installed them last weekend. They were quick to ship and the products look to be of good quality.

This site is very overpriced and their quality is not very good (not bright enough). I bought LEDs from several sites and eBay sellers. This guy from Hong Kong ended up having the cheapest price and by far the brightest LEDs:

Still short term for me also, but I have been running his LEDs in my side markers with the lights on for about 150 hours and they are fine. I changed all of the inside bulbs except the front map lights (the LEDs were not directed enough) and am very happy with them. I also changed the license plate bulbs and that looks awesome.
Just make sure you buy "1 WATT" LEDs only.

A comment about superlumination: I ordered about 15 LEDs from them because I figured with prices that high they must be high quality as well. 2 were defective out of the box. They sent replacements, but it was a hassle. The other 13 had such weak light output I ended up pulling them and they are currently sitting in a drawer. The license plate was not readable with their LEDs. A total waste of ~$50. I ended up getting all of the bulbs plus a few more for about $20 from the eBay seller mentioned above.
