Default taking out stock HID! DIY??

My 07 is350 has HIDs, but i do not like the color. Is there a DIY for taking out the HIDs and putting in aftermarket ones?

You just need to change out the bulb.

Taking out the HID bulb is like taking out any other regular bulb. you'll need to find your way to the back of the headlight and turn the bulb connector to take it off. The bulb should be held by two clips. It's pretty easy.

Sorry I can't be more specific, I dont have a 2IS

why the heck would you want to do that? what don't you like about it? is it not 'blue' enough for you? DON'T DO IT. You're going to lose a lot of usable light by going with a higher kelvin temp bulb, and you will eventually need glasses from your eyes being so fatigued with driving at night.

The 07 IS350 uses D4S bulbs, they are mercury free and are different than the older D2S versions that are found in other HID projector equipped cars. Most of the aftermarket higher kelvin colored bulbs are D2S (for projectors) or D2R (for reflector based HIDs). If you put one of them in your headlights, your ballasts wont run them, the bulbs would light up and then go off after 10 or so seconds. So as far as options for higher temp bulbs are considered then no you dont have any for the moment.

On the other hand your D4S bulbs are rated at 4800K, D2S are rated at 4300K . Let them color shift, which will happen after 100 or so hours of use and stick to them rather than going to higher temp. Worry about what you see on the road (performance) rather than what other drivers see (bling).

There are plenty of aftermarket D4S with higher color temps. I swapped mines out w/ 6000k and love them!

After 4300 K the usable light decreases. You WILL NOT be able to see better with a hotter temp.

The only difference I see when I changed mine lights was that it was still bright as 4300k but it was just white instead of a little bit of yellow.
