Default Will AFS still work?

Hi,

I have a 06 2IS and I don't have oem HID and I am planning to replace the halogen headlights with the oem HID. I was wondering if the AFS on the HID headlights will still work? Any input on this would be great. Thanks.

oh, so the motor for the AFS isn't in the HID headlights? Oh yea I forgot to mention that I don't have AFS on my non HID equipped car. I don't really need the AFS I just want the OEM HID, I was just wondering if it will have any effect and do I just plug in all the harnesses and thats it without doing any major modifications.

the AFS uses a sensor on the sway bars to detect turns and leans. you will need that and im sure other sensors to make it work right.

the AFS motor is in the HID headlight. It's attached to the projector. What you dont have are the sensors and the computer that sense the motion of the steering. It's not even worth retrofitting that in. It's a pain in the butt.

You'll be able to use the OEM hid without the AFS.
