Unhappy GS Headlight Condensation

In my night time running lights housing and the small orange turn signal housing theres lots of condensation

The guy at Schucks told me to pull out the bulbs and let it dry out.. then take some WD40 and put it around the light bulb housing seal and it should stop moisture from returning unless there is some sort of crack in the housing which I haven't found. Anyone tried this?

Unfortunately, moisture in GS headlights are pretty common. Personally, I wouldn't spray anything into the headlight, especially wd-40. the temperature inside the headlight gets pretty hot so I wouldn't want wd-40 near it. However, there is one possible solution:

These are the same ones you find in some of the food bags at the store. Throw one in your headlight and see if it helps, after all, it can only help, not worsen things.

headlights with water droplets vs. headlights that double as an alternative beef jerky storage

**** at $7.00 I'd rather cop a bag of oberto and just toss in the packet

btw how do u get it out once the moistures gone?

i had the same problem about a month back after a few rain storms. all i did was pull out the high beam bulb for a few days. it dried and the condensation hasn't returned since.

there are some watermarks left inside the housing though...

you just leave the pack in there

Perhaps you can try to take the pack inside the headlight cover (where u cover the bulb). I dont remember if it fits since I dont have that cover anymore.
