Default DRLs disabled Possible...

If there is some kind of resistor that only let a certain amount of power through it? Does that make sense?

I know in older toyota/lexus, you can simply disable the drl by unplugging relays or taking out a fuse, but I dont know about your is350. Try looking into the fuse box for something that is associated with DRL. Pull it out to disable if u find it. But sometimes, pulling that out disables high beam also, at least with some of the older Toyota/Lexus.
