Default 50w Hid Kits?

I was wondering, would it be safe to run 50w hids instead of 35w? Would it be too hot? Im just wondering because i like bright lights

You would need something to cool the lights.

regular bulbs run at 55watts. So whats the problem?

But you do need to keep the ballasts cool. (stick a heatsink to the side).

Yeah, regular bulbs do run at 55w, i was wondering cause, it seems the 50w HID runs really bright and wondering if it would be give off more heat with the intense brightness, but if it requires keeping it cool, i'll just stick with 35w hid, so i don't have to worry about anything, save the headache, right

the ballast will be 10x as hot is it was before. just with a 35w ballast it already gets hot enough.and that doesn't include the car being hot itself. also , it would be very bright... it'll be like looking into the sun. plus the intense heat that if gives off. your going to have to fine a way to keep it cool. like heat sinks or heat ram or some sort. just with my regular HiDs i get high beam at. and don't be suprise of everyone thinks your high beaming with a 50w ballast. lol.
