mine go dim to... but not alot... but when i apply the brakes or when the central locking locks the doors when I first pull away.
It could be normal.. but would be interested to see if anyone else has this problem.

i would test the battery/alt out see what the deal is.. I could see a little dimming if you were running with all lights on (headlights, etc) AC going, while idling.. but other then that, it shouldn't be THAT noticeable

I agree. Definately go get that alternator and battery checked. I'll pray that it's not the alternator because I know the dealership charges around $430 for a new alternator and that's not including labor.
I had a scare a few weeks ago regarding my car's power. I constantly needed a jump to get my Lex started. The battery status window on the toyota battery was saying everything was fine and it was fully charged. Some people were saying it was the battery and others said it was the alternator. After getting a jump, I would drive around for an hour to power the battery up but it still would not start when I turned the car off. I was terrified cuz Mr. Man didn't have an extra $500 laying around for a new alternator.
My car was in the shop for a month and I took it back to the body shop to have them look at it. Turns out the battery was fully discharged and would't take a charge because while they were fixing my rear lght they left the battery disconnected too long. They gave me a new battery and it's ben fine.
THANK YOU JEEZUS!!!!

Hello All,
I had this weird problem with the battery, just alittle FYI. When I started the car up and went to go press on the brake the whole car would shut off. I would get a jump and try taking of again, same problem. I tested the battery and it showed that I had a good charge. Make a long story short it turned out to be the battery. So be very careful before going to a place and they try charging you 400 beans for a atl. Quick way to check if its your battery or ATL, while the car is running disconnect one of the battery terminals. If the car goes dead then it is your ATL. If the car still runs its your battery.
