6000K vs 6500k

Default 6000K vs 6500k

i was looking at the 6000k
and then saw hthe 6500k was almost 150 cheaper
how much of a color hue diffference is it from the 6000k vs 6500k?

there shouldn't be a huge difference in color between 6k and 6500k.

since i had a plethora of hid bulbs sitting in my garage, I took picture of 3 different types of bulbs.

The top left is 6k, the top right is 8k and the bottom is 4300k.



Good luck with the HID installation.

On the light spectrum there isn't much difference between 6000K and 6500K, however different brands have their own take on the Kelvin ratings and this is probably why 6500K appears considerably more purple than the 6000K which is only tinted purplish-bluish.

Logically, that sounds correct, but for some reason my 6500K's (XenonDepot Xtreme HID) look more blue than my 6000K's (Philips--not from XenonDepot, but most likely the same kit they sell).

6000K headlights and 6500K fogs.

there is only a slight of a difference
