The glove box light is a 74 mini wedge base bulb (on my 05 RX330). I changed it out to a white LED, but I could hardly see anything in the glove box. So drilled three small holes on the top plastic and wired in 3 3mm white LED's facing downwards into the glove box. As for the drivers side LED in the plastic housing, are you talking about the one that fires down onto your feet? If so, you can also remove that (amber) LED and solder in a new color of your choice. As well as the passenger side down firing LED.
