Hey guys, please don't post in here about buying/purchasing. I'm going to get pictures of the car with the lights on pretty soon and I don't want the thread to get locked. If you really must, keep it to PM. Thanks all

Teaser: Brand spankin new TL Projector retrofit + boosted high power ballasts for my car coming soon. Also, TSX projector retrofit on my parents LX470 coming soon as well Man, I'm just going HID crazy these days eh? lol

Very nice job. Are the highbeams also HID? What projectors were used and what diameter are the lenses? I'm trying to decide which halogen projectors to get so it doesn't look too small or big.

Ok, for you guys that want beam shots and pix of the car...you're gonna have to wait till Monday. I finished the work and installed it a week ago. The lights are on the other guys car and no longer in my possession. I have to find a time when he isn't busy(Monday) to be able to meet up and take pix. Don't worry, just be patitent and I'll have the pix

Well, I'm not sure if the Q45 projectors can be modded for color output and such. The optics inside it are pretty much solid one piece and very thick metal(AKA: not bendable). Other projectors such as TSX/TL projectors are way easier to mod for color and cutoff.

Yes the highs are also HID. The high beam is a E46 HID projector out of a BMW 3 series with a 3" fresnel lens. The cutoff plate was removed. Any projector will work for the high beam application, even halogen ones.

The original headlights were not HID so there was no auto levelling function to begin with. If the level function was there, then it would be kept intact.

Just check on ebay. The price always fluctuates. Usually it's about $400-650 or so depending on the condition.
