Default Best HID Conversion for the buck? 4000K? 6000K?

I'm considering replaceing my 9006 Halogen Lows with an OEM system, but wanted to explore aftermarket gear first. What, in your opinion, is one of the better systems? Should I stick with OEM?

I'm more interested in brilliance over color temperature, so what bulb will light things up the best, 4000k, 5000k, etc?

ThankS!

oem light temp is something like 4200 or 4300. xenondepot.com has a set for sale that i actually purchased for my 2nd gen gs. excellent fit and has been running for over a year with no problems.

just a note: the reflectors built into the oem headlight housing will not give you the oem abrupt cut off meaning that when the light is dispersed, it will shine mainly on the ground and ahead of you but there will be some light everywhere else. the oem hid headlights shine light out and there's a very distinct line where the light stops.

So unless I install an HID Reflector as well, the light will flood more than pencil beam, or spot? It sounds like without the reflector, the light would be annoying to on-coming traffic, True?

you can alway adjust the beam downward. if you can get some hid housings with the correct refectors, this would be optimum.

here is some advice, if you plan on getting a hid kit, i would suggest with mccullochs or oem like mashu*****a(nissan and infiniti) denso (toyota and lexus) hella gens ( bmw), and the bulbs i suggest you get them from integra9006hid from ebay, i bought bulbs from him in person and its great, because he can have the bulbs rebased to 9006 fitments. i got a great buy from him, i bought the 5000k d2r's, which is a bit purple, blue and white. i will have photos of my hid's up soon

here is integra9006hid's website: http://hidexpert.com/
