I have a 1997 ES300 and I totally hate my stock bulbs. I ordered some of those Xenon Charged Super Whites and the seller said they should fit my car. Well, they came and I tried to install them. They wouldn't fit. The prongs that you insert into the lamp harness were not set far enough apart. I had the same problem when I ordered some other ones a few months ago. What should I do now? Should I install new harnesses to fit regular H7 bulbs because it seems like Lexus did this to make sure that you only use Lexus bulbs. The manual says that the bulbs for the car are H7 and if one goes out to take it to a dealership to get them replaced.
You guys are wonderful. I never knew that was an adapter. Well I installed the Xenons and they look great. I also have a pair of the Xenon Fog Lites and I can't figure out how to install them. How do I access the stock bulbs? Do I go from behind the air dam because I can't figure out how to get the fog lite fronts off so I am assuming they don't come off like that. Can anyone help with this?
These are a pain in the **** to get to. I would suggest lifting your car, or at least your front end. They twist out from the rear, similar to the headlights, but that is only for the harness. The light is still clipped within the housing. Poor design as far as I'm concerned.
They fit fine. I have been analyzing this situation and I think the bulbs that you have are deffective or bend. Try to go back and get a replacement, better yet.. do it in the parking lot, this will not take a long time to do. Good Luck... keep us informed !
