I replaced my stock low beams and fogs with the Sylvannia Silverstars in November. Last month one of my low beams burnt out so I replaced it. Then this morning on the way to work I notice one of the fogs is out now. I think they were defintely a decent upgrade from the stock halogens but these bulbs only have a 6 month life? WTF?
What bulbs give a good look and have a long life? Should I go with PIAA or Razo???? I don't really want to dish out the money for HIDs right now but if I keep the Silverstars I'll probably spend the same amount eventually.
hahaa i have been saying this all along, you are not the first one i have heard about silverstar blowing out left and right after months. i know there are a lot of cases where people don't have any problems, but still i do hear bad stories about them. that's why personally i never recommend these
Funny, I still got mines. And I even swapped them into my sister's accord when I take her car at night, then back into my ES. Maybe people don't handle them as careful as they do...
The ones on my Yukon are going on three years now!!
and the ones on my previous SC3 lasted for as long as I had it for two years!
No problems..would recommend.
