So i have a Xenon Depot 4300k low beam kit on my LX470 I installed like two weeks ago. I was just curious if you guys think i should go with a HID kit for my foglights also and if so, what color?

I was looking for information reguarding this from people who currently have a HID kit in their lexus. Was it worth it? Would you have gone with a different color? How much brighter are they in fog application?

I either want to go with a 3000k yellow kit or a 4300k to match the headlights but im not sure which if any yet. Your help please.

 

personally, I would go with the 3000K kit. I like the yellow foglights, it is pure Lexus. I already have the yellow foglights on my GS430, but I want to go with yellow HID fogs eventually.

 

3000K hid fogs imo. that's what i did.

 

Blinding Glare!! hazardous to other drivers.

HID's belong in the proper housings.

teh foglights on the LX are projector so they wouldnt cause any unwanted glare. I hate seeing cars with HIDs in housings that arent ment for them and create alot of glare. I usually get behind them or flash them with my driving lights which are BRIGHT.

 

Will HIDs in my IS350 foglights cause glare? I know the housing isn't meant for HIDs, but I thought the way the housings are designed most of the light output for the foglights is pretty low.

I Dont have the bones for a HID kit anymore so im sticking with the PIAA Halogen foglight bulbs.
