HID Kits For An IS250??
I've been doing some research online since I got my new IS in regard to putting HID in the car, and I came across your club, very glad I did in fact.
Maybe you guy can pass along some info that you may know of, heard of, see, anything..... I need to put HID in this car, it's the only thing it's missing, esp. being it was in my '04 IS, I can't go back to not having it, I can't see a thing!...haha.
Can anyone pass along any info in regard to kits? I know of the Philips H11 Kit, and honestly, that is the only one I wanna put in. But, mainly, is it safe to perfrom such an upgrade being it didn't come factory installed, as the wiring is totally different. I've also been hearing Daytime Running Lights will cause problems/conflicts in an aftermarket kit.
What about keeping it simple...i.e. PIAA H11 Bulbs. Does anyone have any knowledge/expierience with these, or can anyone offer suggestions as to which ones to get.
Any help you guys can pass along would be great! BTW, I live in teh Tampa, Florida area, so if anyone is from the area, already having made these same upgrade, please let me know where/how?
Best Regards, Anthony
check places like www.hidplanet.com
www.xenondepot.com and do a search for HID kit. In fact look into the HID kit thread going on right now in the GX470 section. That'll help you get right on track. As for wiring, the kit comes with all you need to hook the HID into your car in about 15 mins or less

They say the DRL cause the HID's to flicker, due to not all 12V going to the HID ballest to ignite the HID lamps. And, they say you can't use the "Auto On" funtion with your lighting system either.
I don't kow.....I just wanna now my IS will be safe in all aspects. The last thing I wanna do is burn up and/or damage teh eletrical system in anyway, which voids the warrenty on the car as well. I wondering if I should just pick up some PIAA H11's??
