Default thoughts on using LED bulbs in front turn signal...

so most of you guys know that i did a headlight retrofit, in the process i also cleared out the turn signal... i was going to custom wire LEDs but for the sake of time and gas i figured i would just use LED bulbs...the way housing works is that the blub is actually perpendicular to the output, it ricochets off and goes straight out...

so what do you guys think of these bulbs? linky.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...778059845&rd=1

edit: the thing i worry about is the resistance factor ... i dont know how much resistance those LED bulbs carry compared to 21watt oem bulbs...well if that is a problem i can always add carbon film resistors anywhere along the line, doing that would just make doing a custom LED just as much work

This is the exact same mod I want to do and I bought the load resistor kit from here - http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm - just scroll down to the section that is titled "LOAD RESISTOR KITS". I haven't received the kit yet.

I got some Raybrig RC345 4 SMD LED's though. I don't have any experience with the ones you linked above.

I have the amber bulbs from superbrightleds in there with load resistors mounted on top of the wheel wells, good airflow there and can't burn anything. Works well, but keep in mind that the sigs won't be as bright as bulbs except for dead straight on.
Aristo7, I object to the use of blue LEDs as ricer. It's all in how they're used, where they're used, and how much they're used. Anything can be screwed up. No one can tell me that the pic on O.L.T.'s LLC website of the blue-backlit A/C controls or radio display is ricer. So go easy on yourself, just don't overdo it. But aren't the blue LEDs in your front sigs major-league illegal? Don't you get stopped by cops once a week?

I was wondering the exact same thing.

The other thing I was curious about is that from the pictures it does not appear to be safe either. I mean how visible is the blinker when it is on? Would someone know you are turning in front of them? From the pics you posted I doubt it very much.

Well....maybe he is a cop himself. Or he got "connections" with the law enforcement community.
