I will have to look at his car the next time I see him. The tech that installed the headlights for him had to do SOMETHING. The ballast has one plug while the car has another. Something had to give. I don't think he has the fuse/relay either but I guess in this case, it may not be needed since it is all OEM.

I had a theory about this in my post above. These harnesses are meant for HID kit retrofit. For example, if you had your original halogen headlights, you'd buy a 9006 HID kit. Your halogen headlights use a 9006 bulb and a 9006 connector plugs into it.

HID bulbs are not 9006. The ballast plugs into the D2S bulbs. Then, from the ballast comes another connector. I think the harness you bought is the link between the ballast connector and the 9006 plug of your car. The harness probably has a 9006 plug on one end and something else on the other. The 9006 end of the harness is actually the plug you need. Worst case, you can snip that off and use it but that would be a waste of a good harness while you can get the plug cheaper.

lexusondubs, keep the wiring harness.. It will prevent your stock wires from burning up sicne our stock halogen wasnt setup for HID.

So Here's a step by step. Hopefully you can undstand what i'm describing.

First of all, you already installed the XenonDepot Wiring harness i see.

Next is replacing the plug for the ballast.

Order some new Male plugs from suvlights.com. Those do not come with wires attached so you'll have to cut off the oem plug from ballast & crimp on the new pins provided to slide into the new 9006 male plug (if wires are too short, you can just extend the wires and solder in together.. be sure to use shrink wrap and wrap it back up with electrical tape for protection)

As for the Positive and negative, just use a power tester if you are unsure (I accidently popped a fuse when i reversed it) But as always, black wires are negative.

Sorry, no pix yet. I was too busy to snap some pix. And i'll be at my store full 11 hours shift this weekend. I'll try to snap pix on sunday.

k, here's the pix

Plug on left is the xenon depot wiring harness. Plug on right is the 9006 Plug that was purchased.

By looking at that angle, you can see where the pos and neg is suppose to be. While i was wiring mine up, i accidently switched it around. All that happend was it blew a fuse on my wiring harness. So if you're not for sure, grab some extra fuse.

Here's a picture of it semi-connected
