Non-HID to OEM HID Conversion, need some help
Hey guys, i just picked up my newly aquired 99 GS300. Eventually the car has no HID
i want to do the HID setup right, i don't want to put in a 9006 HID kit into it. I'm new to the scene so i saw some OEM HID headlights w/ autoleveling unit. What yeaer does that come in? Do i really have ot have the unit hooked up to get it to perform right? or can i just leave it?
Or what would be the best way to get it done?

You can put the OEM headlight in but forget about the auto-level. It is too much wiring to retrofit the sensors around the car. The OEM HIDs is not plug and play. Still it is only a few wires to solder.
You can get OEM HIDs from any 98+ GS model year. There are differences in housing reflector color but they are basically the same as far as fitment is concerned.

and in fact, i didn't have to splice ANY wire to get the stuff installed too. i dn't know what my installer did but i know he somehow jammed the stock 9006 plug inside the hid headlights
perfect
