Ok, I see what you are saying... It won't look the way the OEM HID housings will look right?? But they will work, and I am guessing you mean they won't look as good as an aftermarket 9006 kit either right? Do you or anyone have pix of what the pattern will look like installed??? The Lexus HID kit in a the non HID equipped GS housings?? 99 GS. I will probably do it anyway, just because I have the kit already. Besides, it looks so much simpler without all the wires i had with the aftermarket... I didn't like the way it connected to the 9006 plugs with those tow little prongs. One more question.. as far as splicing.. we are talking about the 9006 plug right??? the kit I have, has a black and red wire.. I am assuming these go to that plug?? I had replaced those like 3 times in the past when I was messing around with those cheap "HID" $24 9006 bulbs. They burned my wires like 3 times. I finally did solve that buy buying the 9005 pigtails and using those... But that was then. Anyway, thanks for the scoop....
thanks for the info....

in terms of the light i think it will be close to that of the 9006 kit you had, so it should be fine. the wiring i can see, good that i had the "old type" hid kits, where there is no wires running to the battery directly. for the wires, up, you just need to somehow match up the two wires from the 9006 plug to the power input for the ballasts. make sure you dont' mess up the polarity
Hey, i was just thinking... we have been going back and forth on this we should have hooked for some beers... to talk about it.. Hahahahahahaha JK. Anyway, I think i will be happy with it. I just hated all those damn wires on the aftermarket kits. And the way they plugged in to the sockets, just slipping the 2 connectors like that... very cheesy for me. no protection or shielding. These Lexus ones have but one cable for the bulb and 2 for the power... a black and a red.. Pretty straight forward I think. Besides, they are the slim ones.... So I can actually fit them under the 01+ headlights with the green tint I have. I noticed they have an area where these ballasts line up and holes for the mounting... So, in terms of cleaning up the "mess"... this will definately do that. All the kits I have seen, have a bunch of wires, not to mention some ballasts have the igniters seperate... More clutter.... I like things clean, and neat, no mess, ya feel me ??

yeah that's the place for the ballasts, i guess it's going to be really easy for you to mount them and i am sure you can figure out the wire, considering that you have done to the headlights
oh and if i were in SD instead of up here in san jose, i would have come for the beer
