You must have gotten an early 99. I believe the late 99s and on have DRLs.

I read on CL and other Lexus forums too much so I can't remember where I read that the early 99s did not have DRL. I remember that there were members complaining that they did not have DRL and the ones without were early 99s. I don't remember what "early" means though.

The only other explanation is the previous owner (if this is a used GS) disabled DRL. Some people do not like DRL. Anyway, good luck. Post back what you find out.

maybe you can check on the fuse and relays to see if there is any difference between yours and your gf's.

open up the engine bay, and look on the driver side. there should be a fuse box close to the strut tower. compare the fuse and relays between the two and see if there is any difference.

also, compare the two engine bays around the headlight area and see if ther eis anything different. i know for the is300, there is a box on the pessenger side strut tower for the drl. not sure how that's setup for the gs though (mine is 98 and i don't have drl)

Talking

well back from the shop here is the breakdown;
Check engine light > faulty selenoid $742.00
DRL's > missing fuse $0.00
Front brakes upgraded to TRD's 14's > 1600.00
Having a car that runs like a champ and stops on a dime PRICELESS!!!

These are the ones pictured. It is the kit based on the SupraTT calipers. The rotors are not 14" unless you meant something else by TRD 14. You definitely do not have OEM wheels then.

I just noticed the description on the L-TunedParts site: " Front aluminum 4 pod caliper"

Are they really aluminum? They seem too heavy to be aluminum.

That's what I thought too. Maybe we should send Steve a note to fix the website.
