Default Headlight Aiming

I have a 2001 GS430. And for the life of me, I can not figure out which screw of the two in the owner's manual does the vertical adjustment for the driver's side headlight.

When facing the driver's side headlight, which screw adjusts the headlight vertically...the one on the left or the one on the right? Put another way, does the one tucked under the body a little control the vertical adjustment, or the one screw that is right out in plain view?

For anyone who's done this adjustment, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance.

The search function is a valueable piece of information waiting at your finger tips.

All you had to do was type in Headlight Aiming in the search area and this thread would pop up with a picture for you....

Actually, I did do the search, and saw that thread.

But I was still confused.

Is the vertical adjustment behind the frame, or the one out in the open? The picture with the Japanese writing shows all four bolts, but the writing is in Japanese so I didn't understand which bolt went where.

I know there's a vertical and a horizontal, I just want the vertical...for the low beam.

So, back to my original question...when facing the driver's side low beam, is it the bolt on the right behind the frame or the one to the left of the low beam out in the open?

I haven't been able to figure it out looking at any of the pictures, including the owner's manual.

In the Japanese picture located in the link I gave you it should be the bolt on the second from the right located behind the frame. The bolt before or inside the frame is for the inside light.

Thanks, Bone. I will try it out this week. My driver's side is a little low, needs to be higher, using my high beams to much right now.

So, it's the bolt behind the frame, to the right of the low beam (when facing the low beam). Got it.
