Default What do you guys think of these?

are these any good for my foglights? Would they melt the housing?
Im just looking for some yellow fogs, nothing fancy, and nothing cheap looking. I took the pic and description of ebay, what do you guys think of these?

Description:

+ 9006 (2,500K color temperature)

+ Golden Style Plasma Xenon bulbs

+ JDM Japan Versoin. MSRP over $100

+ High quality xenon charged HID lamp system, 100W > 170W with no extra current draw

+ No overheat (wiring is protected)

+ 100% street legal, brand new, ready to ship, no reserve

+ Newest generation xenon bulb last longer and brighter

+ Highest quality xenon bulb on the market.

+ Superior safety and driving comfort

+ The closes thing to the super-intense H.I.D. lighting you have seen on the high-end imports

+ These bulbs are made by the same factory that manufactures the PIAA brand

+ A maximum of 100% of Xenon gas to allow the halogen process to produce a higher white (2,500k) light output.

AFAIK the wattage on stock fog bulbs is 55W. Based on that pic I see 2 different wattage numbers, and they're both SUBSTANTIALLY higher than 55. I would be very skeptical. Replacing fried wires/harnesses isn't fun. Not to mention the description doesn't match the image.......Unless they're really cheap, I'd keep looking. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for".

Yeah i know what you mean, but its 80 watts.

Oh well.... so what other Quality alternitives do i have in the $30-$40 Range that will give me nice yellow output. Not necessarly exactly, but as close as possible to the GS4's.

Thanks.

GRAND_LS, I know this is sort of a crazy thought, but what about converting the plastic fog lenses to the yellow kind (don't ask me how), or inserting a yellow reflector lens between the outer lens and the bulb? Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I believe the yellow light from the GS fogs is achieved by a yellow lens covering in between the outer fog lens and the bulb. Anyway IMO this may be a more effective way to get the true "yellow" look from your fogs.

Start here . It'll help if you know your bulb type. You should be able to find these pretty easy for that price, if not cheaper. Don't know if they're as yellow as PIAA ions, but they're probably close. Probably not as yellow as stock GS either, but for the money, they're worth trying IMO.

Edit- Just noticed on their site, you can order from them. The price for a 9006 goes for $17.20 + shipping a piece!!!! MUCH cheaper than PIAA Ions!! Not to mention they're 55W!!!!!

Yes, your correct, they use a yellow lense. Only wish I knew myself.

Click on the "here" link I posted above, and you can buy them directly from that site. They sell 9006. That was the site I quoted you the price from.

Let me know how you like them. I've been debating on picking up a pair myself, but want to hear some first hand feedback, and hopefully some pics before I decide.

Glad I could help.
