Default Headlight accents!! COOL LOOK ON YOUR CAR!

I was doing a little research on LED's for cars.. I found this great website! Check out the headlight accent look on the cars.. http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini_tubes.htm They have different colors, AND they stay on ALL THE TIME! They run on your car battery and take very little electricity to run. I'd LOVE to put this on my LS. Did anyone have this done before?

Why are the illegal? Don't your headlights work, too?

Yeah, I want to go with the white one, too. (They call it silver.)

Ok, maybe the white/silver one might be ok to use, but the other colors would definitely be asking for a ticket. Even still, IMHO, I think it's a ricey mod...if you're going to go with the white/silver, what would be the point of lighting up the headlight reflectors if it's already going to be dark and you'll need to have your headlights on? Doesn't make much sense to me to driving around with lit up headlights that don't throw any light on the ground or in front of you...I'd just rather my HIDs on (lights up the road and looks a lotnicer than city lights)...just my 2 cents.

BTW, I'm moving this to the proper forum with a redirect link to the LS400/430 forum.

Well, I wanted to replace my parking lights (the little lights in the corner) since my model has them. They are a bit yellowish and when I put my HID's they will look even more yellow. Also, they stay on all the time, even when your car is off (it runs off the battery) and it runs on extremely low power (LED's).
I agree with you on the colors. White would be the only acceptable-looking one. MAYBE blue, too.

IMHO, I think those would cause glare more than they would light up the street. Form follows function, not the other way around.

I haven't seen it up close, but from what I can see, it looks like it just lights up the headlight assembly.

Has anyone seen the German version of the BMW's? My friend has a 02 3-series and when he's parked, his left taillight lights up in red (to make the parked car visible at night). But it sure does look cool and I would like to add the accents at least on my parking lights.

He had his shipped directly from Germany, so I don't know. But I'm guessing it's legal over there (maybe even preferred - for safety).
