When I turn my headlights on the fuse blows that protects the power windows, sunroof and ALL instrument cluster lights...needles too. The headlights however still work after blown. Any suggestions? I've looked at wiring from all exterior lights and all seems fine. I can use windows fine but as soon as I turn on the headlights the dash goes off and no power windows. I hope I can figure this one out myself. Not very experienced and tracking down shorts like this.

 

if you just recently added a system your your car the n your ground wire is in a bad spot, find another spot for the ground wire and you will stop blowing fuses, it happened to me in my corolla....

 

i know this is late but i had this problem with my mustang....same exact thing.
it was the headlight switch, it was a short in the switch.
