The rumors are true! It's a grey market LFA in Canada. The giveway is the speedometer readout in MPH and miles and the temperature is still in Fahrenheit. It is not changeable to metric unless the speedo brain is reflashed for metric usage.
Now the one thing I'm wondering is why Lexus didn't just include a switch similar to the recently expired Pontiac's GTO. A fella I knew had a GTO and his had a little button you pressed that changed the mph to kmph. You would think if a GM car could have that feature, why Lexus wouldn't have implemented it.

Yeah that would make sense, but that would be just too easy. It's just like the I AGREE screen for Lexus navigation. It's just how it is.
As long as these get sold, I for one am glad if they're exported. It bothers me that LFAs are having trouble finding owners here in the US and so many other areas (like Japan even) are completely sold out.

Didn't know this. The original prototype could change mph/kph - the video I took of the instrument panel at the Chicago preview event back in Feb 2010 might even show it.

i agree, should have just allocated these units to other regions right from the start!
I was hoping Robert Herjavec (Canadian multi millionaire and car buff) would buy the white one in Ontario. He recently totalled a 458 Italia challenge around Laguna Seca.

Someone snapped up mine pretty quickly. I figure it could be someone in Ontario since the deal has to be done via my Lexus dealer.
