Lexus LFA “Special Edition” Prototype Spied On The ‘Ring

The LFA makes 115 HP/Liter and the LFA NE makes 117 HP/Liter.
In Ferrari's tradition, the challenge/Scuderia version usually put out 20~30 extra hp, that would put it right over the 130 hp / L mark. And that car is right around the corner now that the regular spider is out. Tuner already proved that by unrestricting the intake and exhaust, the 4.5L Italia's motor puts out around 30 hp more.
The LFA's 4.8L needs to put out 624 hp to make 130 hp/L, which is 62 hp more then the NE edition. I don't see your wish is happening. The LFA's motor already got every tricks known to man at this moment.

How do you know LFA engine is maxed out?? I mean, any proof??
Having worked with a Yamaha co-developed high revving engine for over 8 years that also was thought to be fully tuned from factory, I can tell you due to emissions, reliability and fuel economy requirements, they are far from maxed out from factory and are far over engineered than what the production engine has.
As far as I am concerned, if Lexus is motivated and convinced to do it, they can make it happen if they want it badly enough.

Also longevity. Sure you can make a stock 1.5L Civic DX engine to generate 2000 hp if there is no requirement to meet and it only need to hold up for 10 seconds. Like those funny car engine, they make 8000 hp for 4 seconds and is due for a rebuild.

I like the AD-A's look a lot, and I think other LFA buyers would too, so I am going to hold out for a little longer to see what might happen down the road. Worst case scenario is that I would have look at the lime green one in Orlando

In this particular case, it is more about tuning the ECU, headers, timing, A/F ratios, exhaust etc. to produce more power/torque across the rev range, which affects the emissions and mileage, but has no impact on longevity if done properly.
p.s. I can assure you, you will never get a 1.5 Liter DX Civic engine with stock internals to produce 100 HP/Liter, let alone 2000 rpm no matter what.

A new video with a green Lexus LFA AD-A, but this time notice the exhaust routing is where it is normally in LFA and LFA NE
This basically confirms it is merely a Lexus LFA with the most extreme interpretation Lexus could come up with packing probably 600+ HP from the same 4.8 Liter V10.
There seems to be a lot of anticipation and hype over this car on the internet. I hope Lexus comes out with a big bang on this.
My biggest wish and desire is Lexus is the first brand in the world to extract 130 HP/Liter from this amazing production engine (I know it is wishful thinking).

I think they are bluffing in order not to mess up the current undelivered orders. Just looking at the US allocations, there are close to 100 LFAs to be built and delivered over the next 6-7 months.
I like the AD-A's look a lot, and I think other LFA buyers would too, so I am going to hold out for a little longer to see what might happen down the road. Worst case scenario is that I would have look at the lime green one in Orlando
