Yeah, looks like it. It now has a lot more miles on it so the engine must have nicely opened up well by now.

 

Pause the fist video @1:39 and you'll see the LFA lapping consistently in the 1:54's. The RED blurred lap is obviously an even faster one. Fast laps were 1:54.669 and 1:54.626- so if the RED lap is faster than that, it must be low 1:54's or maybe even 1:53's. That's about a second faster than the car was in the Best Motoring video.

Considering the lap time dropped from 2:00 to 1:54. I would not be surprised if it goes down in the 1:53 or even 1:52.

 

The sound can never get old. What a beautiful sounding car.

 

You can see the timing screen says pit in, pit out. So those laps might have been driving through the pit lane. Guess we'll find out soon.

 

That yellow LFA now has 8342 KM up from 867 KM in the BestMotoring battle. The engine must be very nicely opened up by now.

I wonder the owner seems quite liberal in giving his car to journalists to flog.

Anyone knows who the test driver is?? The driver comes across a little dorky in the beginning, but when it gets to the driving on the roads and track, he is a completely NUTS!!!!!

 

Nearly 5000 miles in a couple weeks?

 

I believe both tests are about 2 months apart. The BestMotoring test was done back in March.

 

I thought it was a different car? I thought this 1 might be one of the prototypes since it has so many miles.

 

5000 miles in 8 weeks is a lot of driving for most cars, let alone a car like this in japan

 

Ya, that's what I thought too, although I haven't taken a close look at the cars or anything.

 

Hmmmm....well that is what the ODO says in the video.

This definitely does look like the same LFA that was used in Best Motoring video. Same color seats etc.
