amazing the gtr made its way to this thread. no one in the market of the lfa will care about the gtr for crying out loud. it's just like ferrari and lambo. a gtr might be faster, but those people will still buy a f430
Down the back straight it feels a) very, very quick beyond 5000rpm, b) sounds absolutely fantastic at 8300rpm, and c) accelerates so violently towards the still soaking wet horizon that it’s not long before I bale out and brush the brakes, at which point it becomes equally obvious how well it stops.

Wow I hope there is a GS-F with the same engine, and they should keep the engine the way it is without deforcing it cuz the RS6 and next M5 are around 600 horses. No way I could ever have a LF-A but another car with the same engine and a price for mortals could be in reach one day!
1500 kg is too heavy considering the cars dimensions and materials used.
It should weigh something between 1300-1400 kg, and power will be closer to 600 hp than 550. At least that's what i hope or otherwise i cannot see it outperforming the competition, and that is exactly what it needs at that price level if it wants to sell.
If this were a stripped down race car I would agree with you. Keep in mind that even though this car will be a monster, it still needs luxury to be a Lexus. Unfortunately, luxury (and safety) weigh a lot.
Is it really going to be that expensive? $400,000?
Nobody knows...but if we take a closer look at the materials used plus the limited production number and compare that to, let's say, a Mercedes SLR, the Lexus can be priced anywhere between $200k and 400. And even with such a price they still will lose loads of money on every car sold...

there is no chance in world that report could know the price right now... he might have been told JDM target price which then he converted (and it doesnt work that way).
But LF-A is 250kg lighter than GT-R, 190 kg lighter than 599, and it is porky? ))))))))).
Naturaly aspirated V10 with 550hp and 9,000 rpm cut off?
With that preview ride reported by journalist, i cant imagine how can anyone feel anything but admiration - afterall, Lexus has just recently entered this market with IS-F and look at them with LF-A.
