Up for sale is my 2001 Lexus GS300. It has a black exterior with a black leather interior. I have owned the car since April of 2005. Purchased as a CPO from Lexus dealer with 48k miles. It currently has 111,718 miles. Oil always changed every 5k miles with Mobil 1 synthetic. Aftermarket work includes: Viper 591XV car alarm w/remote start, Pioneer AVIC-F700BT head unit, Eclipse backup camera, retrofitted projector beam headlights w/5000k 35W bulbs and eyelids, RMM exhaust, OBX headers, Injen air intake, deleted resonators, Tom's front bumper, RMM rear bumper, Daizen DF210 lowering springs, 35% window tint on 5 windows, Alpine MRP-M350 amplifier, 2 Alpine Type-E 10” subwoofers, blue LED door and overhead light, LED taillights and L-tuned grille.


The car does need some TLC. It has an engine knocking noise that does not affect the car's performance. It has a couple of small dents and some paint from a fender bender on the passenger side rear quarter panel. It also has a small crack in the taillight which doesn't affect the functionality. It needs new front and rear driver door lock actuators. The front bumper is fiberglass and needs a small repair on the driver's side. The car was involved in 2 minor accidents. The first was a front passenger collision. Replaced the passenger headlight, the fender and radiator support were straightened and painted. The second accident was a rear end collision. The exhaust piping had to be straightened and the bumper was replaced with the aforementioned RMM rear bumper. The car was broken into and had the head unit stolen, an Eclipse AVN5500 which was replaced with the aforementioned Pioneer head unit. It needs 2 new rear tires. I have included all this information to provide full disclosure. I have priced the car accordingly based on the repairs it needs.

So, let me clarify, the engine is knocking but isn't impacting performance? If engine knocks, it needs to be replaced. Just wanted to confirm since my young brother is interested.. Thanks!

 

It's not affecting performance one bit. I've never had a check engine light, the car's never left me stranded, never any problems just the knocking noise.
