man, how much damage do you think that is? I was like "whoa good deal" but then saw the carnage.

Gosh, that looks like a $25,000+ repair job. It cost over $10,000 to repair my 1990 LS400 after it was rear ended in summer 2000 and the damage was far, far less than this disaster.

Gato, did you get an estimate on the repairs yet? I'm guessing that there's frame damage. Does the rear doors close properly or is that a little tweaked?

no frame damage as this car sits as a unibody and not frame...

I have one estimate right at 9k

one door gets stuck slightly...but repairable....still opens and closes.

someone with good body shop skills can knock this out and own a fresh LS430 at asteal...rear fenders...decklid..bumper..taillights...ect..

If the price is $12,000 and the repair price is $9,000, why isn't this car being repaired before it is sold? After all, the cost of repair should be paid by the other drivers insurance or by your insurance company if the other driver was uninsured. And it's worth substantially more than $21,000 after a quality repair job.

damn that both q-panel needs replace, floor, rearbody panel need to be replaced as well hope the rail is ok? that will reduce the repair price down a lot but from what i see the repair will cost less then 10k.
