Wow, this would be a great candidate for a mild "wide body" VIP project I was thinking about, with like a -50 offset, fat lipped rear wheel, but alas, the funds are not available. GLWS Gato!!
are you not asking for too much? I am sure your insurance paid you off, and maybe gave you the option to keep this car for a $1,000. How much is an 05 UL with no damage worth? Search hard and you can find one for $26k! How much will an 05 UL be worth after it has been repaired from such a damage? $18k at best in my own opinion. Now subtract how much it will cost to do the repair/transport the car, and that's the price you should be selling the car. I think $7-$8k will be a good price. If it sold at dealership/insurance auctions, it will sell for around that.
EastWind, I don't think insurance paid him off (they could have) because it still has a clean title. An 05 with these colors an mileage goes for around $30k. And he has it at $11,500 OR BEST OFFER. So someone could offer him $8k and he could sell it.

The car doesn't have a salvage title because it hasn't changed hands. If the insurance company had taken title to this car, it would have been resold with a salvage title. The deal GATO made with the insurance company is his business unless he chooses to share the information.
The insurance company from which I recently retired after 31 years sells severely damaged salvage vehicles to qualified buyers through this web site --> http://www.salvagesolutions.com/efm/salvageint.nsf
It is easy to get in over your head on a salvage vehicle -- you have to know what you are doing.
