in a local junkyard i visited, the owner told me if i knew any friends, he would let
a black is300 go for 10 grand. obo! i thought the price deserved to make it in the forum.
it has a small body kit and it is not crashed.
with my experience in noticing previous collision details, i did not see any previous damage.
i was able to look at the exterior trunk and interior, but not the engine bay. It should be running
as it is in good condition. The only thing missing is the driver and passenger airbags.
to me this car has been broken into without force, and just de-airbagged. everything else was fine, except a bit dirty interior from being in a junkyard with the window not fully closed.
i think 10 is worth it for this car, if you dont mind cleaning it and getting airbags if you need them.

my buddy owns that wrecking yard.. anyway.. that car is actually 2 IS's put together.. it is a salvaged title.. what happened was there was 1 wrecked IS300 and 1 that was stolen.. parts were taking from the wrecked one to complete the "stolen" one and the one for sale is kind of like a throw everything together ride... its not bad.. it is a salvaged title though.. and yes, the air bags are missing..

they've had that IS for about 6 months now and still can't get rid of it.. chassis is perfect, mechanically perfect also, but you know what happens to theft recovered cars.. all the electronics are F'd and so are relays from the idiotic thieves yanking everything out..

 

if i bought this car
i would make it a track car
and yank everything else out too hahah

 

what yard is this IS at? i'm looking to get a salvaged IS..

So you're saying it's mechanically perfect but also..u say that there are electronic problems with theft recoveries...what about this car? does it have any electronic/electrical problems?

the car was sold already, but i think it did have little problems here and there including the absense of air bags that Aristo 161 mentioned already.. if the car is sold at such a great price, you know there's more to it than that.. If it sounds too good to be true, it mostlikely is..
