why not just use a wireless carplay adapter. i got one off amazon for 80$ and it works flawlessly.

So on your phone can you say forget that Wi-Fi and in Wi-Fi settings set it to not discover and not to connect to new Wi-Fi networks. It may save you some nerves and will not automatically connect to the car.
