I have a DR900X 2CH PLUS. I currently have Samsung’s EVO Select, which isn’t built for non-stop recording.

My issue is that the dashcam reboots itself on random occasions at any given time and multiple times a day.. I’m starting to think it’s the SD card that’s in there..

There are so many different cards to choose from.
I am looking at these choices:

Western Digital’s Purple QD101
SanDisk’s Max Endurance
Samsumg’s Pro Endurance
Transcend’s High Endurance

What do you use? And how long have you had it for?

 

A bit late but I currently use 256g with my Viofo A129 Plus Duo for the past year but also have previously used for about 5 years with no issues. it's always been one of those things that I've plugged in and fortunately never had to touch or review it again. I am no expert by any means with dash cams but some things that come to mind under the assumption that it restarts while your car is on:

-make sure the connection from power to cam is secure and doesn't jiggle or possibly get loose when you hit bumps
-is it getting power via cig port or fuse tap? make sure that connection is secure as well because my old cam used to randomly restart because it the cig port was loose
-manually do a hard reset
-reformat your memory card

 

I've always been partial to SanDisk, but can't go wrong with Samsung as well.

The only caveat would be the issue Amazon was having with counterfeits. Memory cards are one of those things where it's better to buy in store (they will usually price match Amazon as well).

 

I’ve had the best luck with the Sandisk High Endurance with my blackvue dash cams.

 

I have the identical setup zero issues.

BTW the Viofo doesn't work below about -5° F it won't power up. Not a big deal since it doesn't take long for the cars interior to get above that but worth mentioning.
