Amplifier Has One Bad Channel
Purchased a 2016 Lexus ES 350 used this month and one speaker on the dash was not working. A local audio diagnosis was that the amp (toyota/pioneer 86280-06160) had one channel that was bad. The new one is over $1000 dollars for a new replacement. Used run about 750. Since this is a car I bought for my son, I was wondering if I should just tie the bad channel wire to a good channel to get by with some decent sound? That would mean more than one speaker on that channel but I haven't seen the wire set up and assume, in theory, this would be a good fix until I either buy a new one or bypass the amp altogether with an aftermarket amp. Thoughts?

Not much to lose by wiring the amp like you suggest it's no good to listen to otherwise. This is something to consider

Interesting...so you are paying for service to repair it through an ebay post? Have you tried something like this before? It sounds fishy on the surface. “PLEASE NOTE: This listing is advertising our repair service. You are not purchasing a replacement”
