Eh - I put it out on ebay to see what it would go for. Any one interested? Im not interested in screwing anyone over - It works fine - I'd sell it for what i bought it for If it doesnt sell - I'll just hold onto it untill i have some more cash and can put the rest of the system together.

Previous system was 100% factory. Only thing I chaged was the head unit. Install was pretty straight forward. Wiring was bit time intensive, but not impossible. Just gotta get the power antenna working now, which I've already read how to on here.

If you have the time would you mind giving us a write up on how it sounds with the stock setup. I plan to do this to my GS300.

Pros - It sounds clearer, and more powerful than stock. It actually makes the car sound like it has a real sub in it, rather than the factory attempt at it. While watching a good action movie, the sound is AWESOME.

Cons - There is a bit of feedback in the speakers. Best way I can explain it is this,....imagine turning the volume almost all the way up while no music is playing and you hear a sort of hiss sound. Other thing is that there is some engine noise coming though the speakers. It's not bad, and unless you're listening to talk radio, you really won't notice it. I tried a noise filter without any change. Haven't pulled it back out to redo the grounds yet. That may help, but I've read somewhere on here that you can't eliminate the whine when going aftermarket with the HU, but stock everything else.

You might wanna check that the stock signal wires that go to the amp are grounded as well - you may be getting feedback or interference from that... Also...I have my Rosen unit for sale - 950.00 - Free shipping
This is the one i bought on ebay - it works but i dont have the cash to put in the rest ofthe system - Id rather have a stock HU with an upgraded system so i'm gonna do that first.

Let me know anyone thats interested - Ill post this out in the classifieds too

Dammit guys I wasn't planning on buying this until Christmas but now I may have to reconsider! I wanna do this conversion on my ES300 by adding the Rosen head unit and the nav add on. THe only thing I may see as a problem is loosing the tape deck (I listen to alot of motivational tapes and sermon material from my church well I could burn them on CD!) and the Nav is CDrom and not DVD. You get what you pay for cuz the Pioneer with DVD NAv is like 2Gs. I may take you up on the 950.00. LEt me check my account. MAy have to miss the car payment LOL Email me at tiguy99@aol.com and leave me your particulars (i.e where to send payment etc and we can talk it over from there)

Default Take over my bid

I was currently bidding on one however, I just bought a lincoln navi unit for my next retrofit project and currently am still the high bidder of the Rosen R6500 unit. It currently has the bid at $650.00 (which is my maximum so like 1 dollar over will put you as the higherst bidder) and about 3 days left for the auction to be complete(it's been moving really slow and nothing has changed since I placed my maximum. If anyone's interested, search under item # 3053447742 and you'll find it.
NOTE I'm not the seller or promoting the unit in any way. I would prefer someone who is looking for this unit to have an opportunity to find one
