I am trying to locate and add preouts to the stock amp of a 2002 Lexus LS430. Any help from the Mods and the members of this forum is greatly appreciated.

What I did: I have added subs (2- 10inch HX2 Fosgate power by a PPI 800 Watts) using a Line level Converter.

My problem: I am not getting very good signals for the amp, it's like there are distortion and i believed the signal is weak.

What I want: Is for someone to help me in locating the factory amp so I can try and add preout like I did with my IS300.

Please help!!!!!

 

where is it hooked up to now?

here is generically what should be done:

un hook and remove stock sub (is it mounted on the rear deck like my 96?)

use wires that were for the stock sub to hook up hi-low converter

run rca ffrom hi-low to amp for signal

wa-laa

if you do it this way the eq on the deck (bass/mid/treb) control will also affect the new subs, and by removing the stock sub more bass will come into the cabin aswell (assuming that it is mounted on the rear deck as mine is)

 

Your correct it sounds like your not getting enough signal through the LLC. Try the PAC LLC with gain controls, that should make a big difference....

Check with your local Lexus dealership and ask for the EWD (electrical wiring diagrams). The better dealerships will help you out with no problems or hassle.
