Door handle sensor locking 2018 LS500

Door handle sensor locking 2018 LS500
I can no longer lock doors using the sensor on outside door handle..get a long beep but no locking. Can lock as in the past with key or button on inside of door.
This just happened a week or so ago-. Any one have an idea of why?? How to fix.. Car has only 8000 miles on it and two years old..
