Forcing 2019 LS ML to play DVD-Audio
Hello everyone.
I was really excited to listen to how good Mark Levinson is so I went ahead and ordered four DVD-Audio from Amazon.
Three would play in Dolby Digital 2.1 and one stuck at intro screen looping over and over again.
They are all DVD-Audio discs however when played on dvd video player they would display a still image.
My guess is that these problems im encountering because the ML/Car is treating the discs as DVD video rather than DVD-Audio. In fact, the disc that keeps looping the intro has it printed clearly that this disc will only play on with players that support DVD-Audio and it is not compatible with DVD-Video only.
Is there a solution for this? I tried playing with the discs settings but no luck. I could only switch from DD 2.1 to DTS but then there will be no sound and I cant turn off the video.
what solutions are there?
Lexus is a car not home theater. People who got ML got it to listen to music not watch a movie. You’d think that whoever designed the system and developed the software would force discs to go into audio mode rather than video mode. Or at least give us the option to switch.
Please let me know of any solutions because I googled and couldn’t find anything.
